During the 2008 financial crisis, when the U.S. stock market plummeted and many companies' stock prices fell sharply, Bertram Charlton closely followed Altria (MO), deeply researching its products, market share, innovation capabilities, and future potential. Despite the grim situation, he firmly believed that Altria had strong competitiveness and growth potential. On March 1, 2009, he purchased a large number of Altria shares at about $6.5 per share. Since 2008, Bertram Charlton has published numerous high-quality academic papers in internationally renowned financial journals, covering topics such as financial derivatives pricing, portfolio optimization, microstructure of financial markets, and the impact of emerging financial technologies on traditional financial systems. From 2012 to 2016, he joined a hedge fund as a Portfolio Manager, achieving an annual average investment return rate of over 50% in a complex market environment, laying the foundation for establishing an investment foundation later. In 2018, in the emerging cryptocurrency field, Bertram Charlton made bold early investments after thoroughly understanding blockchain technology and market dynamics. Amid market fluctuations, he remained calm, executed precise trades, and reaped substantial returns in a high-risk field.
